BACKGROUND

Naomi Hall started training in classical piano at the age of 4. By the early teens, that talent for the piano developed into recording music in her bedroom. While holding a position as an organist at a local church and playing double bass in the high school orchestra, she also began releasing songs on MP3.com.  Hall received airplay on college radio stations in the States and overseas, especially by Irwin Chusid on New Jersey’s WFMU.  Chusid embraced Hall’s tunes and claimed, “In a perfect world, we would be listening to Naomi Hall instead of Britney Spears.”

Otis Fodder of the Bran Flakes remixed one of her creations, the theme for WFMU’s Incorrect Music Hour.  Hall’s official debut album, Love Full of Punches, received a fair amount of internet coverage as well.  Both “Until I Drown” and “Bride of the Monster” generated top sales for Love Full Of Punches on iTunes. Other tracks from the album were and continue to be played on various podcasts including PlasticAge Radio, the fabulous NBR, along with Short Attention Span Radio and Contrast Podcast. She also supported her album by playing local venues in the Seattle area, including the High Dive and Rendezvous.

After a long hiatus spent creating new tunes and stories, Hall is back to releasing music along with publishing her writings online. Between the ages of 8 to 14 before penning her first song and falling deeper into the “sound hole,” she wrote numerous novellas and was seen as a future author by her classmates. Switching from a degree in Music Performance to English Literature while attending the University of Miami showed her enthusiasm and love of storytelling. Over the past few years, Hall has picked up writing again in-between creating new melodies. Throughout the remainder of 2010 and into 2011, she plans to release her new ear candy and written material freely on her website.
